Repairs and Alterations

Thurston Bros. started with a mission to repair and refurbish diamond-in-the-rough vintage leather jackets from America's rich motorcycle history!  While our business has shifted to creating the next generation of vintage jackets with Aero, Thedi and Vanson, we still have a passion for working on leather jackets.  We offer 20+ years of experience in repairing and altering leather jackets (casual and riding), as well as motorcycle race suits and pants.  If you are in need of a zipper repair or replacement, lining repairs, leather patching or anything else to keep your jacket in wearable condition, contact us at sales@thurston-bros.com for an estimate.

General pricing range (will vary based on level of difficulty); pricing typically includes labor and materials, but there may be materials costs for some zippers and leather patching:

Zipper replacement (front/main zipper)--$200 to $275

Sleeve zipper replacement (per sleeve)--$100-$160

Pocket pull replacement--$50 to $65; full pocket zipper tape and pull replacement--$80-$100

Sleeve shortening (straight cuff, zip sleeve, button cuff, etc.)--$200 to $300 for both sleeves

Lining patching and repairs (currently we are not able to offer full lining replacement)--$50 to $150 per patch

Other work--decorative or racing patches, snaps, buttons, seam repair, replace pocket bags, add interior pockets, leather hole/abrasion repair, and much more!  This is not a complete list of the repairs and pricing.  Please inquire at sales@thurston-bros.com to get an estimate for your repair.
