Every Thurston Bros custom jacket order includes the use of a fit jacket and a professional fit consultation.  Fit consultation includes chest circumference evaluation as well as shoulder width and waist circumference recommendations.  Additionally, the fit jacket is used to determine custom body and sleeve lengths.  All fit recommendations are based on using the fit jacket as a measuring tool for the custom build.  Please keep in mind that three customers with the same body measurements will choose three different sizes in the same style (one chooses a tight fit, another prefers a regular fit and the third wants a roomier fit).  The fit jacket consultation makes it easy for each customer to get the fit and lengths they desire!

 

As the Highwayman name is a registered trademark owned by Aero, over the years Aero has always intended to make a proper replica of the original 1950s Rivetts Highwayman jacket, and the Original 59'er Highwayman does just that!

The fit of this jacket, although similar to the Aero Highwayman, is based on the original Rivetts jacket and it's about 1" shorter than Aero's famous Highwayman. This jacket is also slimmer at the waist compared to the Aero Highwayman.

Like all Aero jackets, the Original 59'er Highwayman can be ordered with a variety of linings, hardware finishes/styles, and thread colors. The jacket can be custom built in a variety of leathers, including Vicenza Italian veg-tanned horsehide and Goatskin. Interior pockets are also available.
