Aero 1950s Flight Jacket
$ 1,399.99
This jacket style evolved in the 1950s, inspired by the historic exploits of US air crews in their A-2 Jackets.
The A-2 patch pocket was replaced with a corded border four-pocket design, which is a feature that is typically of "Bomber" jackets or "Fly Boys" jackets. Aero's design uses the same heavy horsehide widely used during the period and the same typical blanket or cotton linings that were popular at the time.
The 1950s Flight Jacket is cut from Aero's 1950s pattern block to give the wearer a bit more room than the standard A-2 contracts. It can be made with a fur collar upon request.
Like all Aero jackets, the 1950s Flight Jacket can be ordered with a variety of linings, hardware finishes/styles, and thread colors. Standard interior pockets are not available, but patch-style pockets can be put in with cotton drill linings. Click HERE for more information on ordering a custom Aero jacket!
